ABOUT
Ricardo Dumsch is a business and corporate photographer based in NRW, Germany, working nationwide with a focus on people, companies, and visual communication. He is currently completing his Bachelor's degree in Photography at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Dortmund, building on his vocational training in portrait photography.
Professionally, Ricardo specializes in corporate work: business portraits, on-location stories in companies, and visual content for branding, HR, and communication. An editorial internship at Stern provided practical experience in fast-paced media production, clear visual storytelling, and collaborative team workflows.
At the same time, Ricardo maintains a strong personal focus on social and humanitarian projects. His Bachelor's thesis explores women's empowerment within coffee supply chains, a solo research and filmmaking journey through Guatemala that combines documentary storytelling with issues of sustainability, fair trade, and global value chains. This commitment to socially relevant topics runs parallel to his commercial work and shapes his approach to visual narratives.
Beyond client projects, Ricardo actively contributes to the local photography scene. Since 2023, he has been part of "Runde Ecke", a student-led collective organizing talks, events, and symposiums in Dortmund. He handles marketing, content creation, moderation, and speaker relations, fostering connections among photographers, students, and industry professionals across NRW.
Ricardo creates images and formats that feel accessible, honest, and purposeful, whether serving companies and institutions or addressing social issues through personal projects. For him, photography is about building relationships, sparking exchange, and telling stories that matter. Practice and genuine curiosity remain at the heart of everything he does.
